Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP) has introduced its AI Impact Framework, a comprehensive system designed to evaluate the business outcomes produced by artificial intelligence applications. This new framework aims to differentiate between routine AI usage and significant improvements that enhance productivity, drive automation, or develop reusable capabilities across organizational teams.
The AI Impact Framework involves employees submitting evidence of AI-enabled work completed within the past six months. Examples of such work include production code, custom AI agents, automated testing systems, delivery pipelines, large-scale migrations, internal tools, and reusable systems. The framework excludes self-reported or hypothetical AI capabilities from its assessment process.
A multi-agent evaluation process forms the core of the framework. An evaluator initially assesses the submitted evidence, while an adversarial agent challenges unsupported claims and attributions. A referee then reviews both assessments to determine the final score, which is subsequently validated by human managers and project leaders. Any disputed assessments undergo further review.
Participants in the framework are categorized into four AI maturity levels, spanning from limited AI integration to the development and operation of AI agents, automated workflows, and reusable systems that generate significant organizational impact. GAP reported that as of July 2026, approximately 41% of its workforce had achieved Level 3, while about 48% had reached Level 2.
Beyond external application, GAP is utilizing the framework internally to identify capability gaps and create personalized development plans for its employees. The overarching goal of the framework is to establish measurable baselines, pinpoint development needs, and aid organizations in progressing from basic AI adoption to more autonomous and impactful operational methods.
